Aye dil hain mushkil hain jeena yahan, zara hatake, zara bachke eh hain mumbai meri jaan!!!!
A few years back when the Hindi film industry was still in Black and White, sang these words about a city Mumbai... Now the number of cities is on the rise and also its culture taking some drastic changes(in some cases violent) . A city, with its malls, the multiplexes, the crowded local trains, buses, the frenzy people with phones plugged to their ears, the crazily full restaurants, the traffic- a fight for space and time, is dynamic to say the least. Change is a part of everyday life. A new neighbour, a new boss, a new time, a new cuisine, new music, new attires; all these switching back and forth at times... Uncertainty at its best(hmmm...)
The counterpart of the city, the village is rather serene and quiet place. Change is at a snail's pace (or is it)... The silence, the only temple, the tv(other medias too!!) being an opening to the world, the people who knows history of each other(all), the 6 month old movie at a local cinema tent, monsoon, summer, winter, days, nights etc...
What does one like? The bustling city or the quiet village... What is important? The uncertain metro or a more certain village(and again!!).... What is the future??????
To run a distance, we need legs, both of them.. To run better, we need eyes and the ears.. To run faster, we need we need hands.. To run the right way, we need the brain.. To run, we got to make the choice, to run or not to...
